Denver Travel Guide
Denver sits exactly where the city meets the mountains. Known as the Mile High City, Denver blends outdoor adventure with a creative urban energy. You can spend the morning hiking foothills or exploring Red Rocks and the afternoon wandering art districts, breweries, and historic neighborhoods.
With 300 days of sunshine a year, a thriving food scene, and easy access to the Rocky Mountains, Denver is one of the most dynamic cities in the American West. Whether you’re here for skiing, music, craft cocktails, or mountain views, Denver delivers a laid-back but vibrant travel experience.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Denver is April through October, when the weather is warm, the skies are bright, and outdoor activities are at their best.
Spring and early summer bring blooming parks and comfortable temperatures for exploring neighborhoods, patios, and hiking trails just outside the city. Summer is peak season for festivals, outdoor concerts, and visiting Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Fall is especially beautiful as the nearby mountains turn gold with changing aspen leaves. Winters are colder but still sunny, and Denver becomes a gateway city for skiing in nearby resorts like Breckenridge and Vail.
